Privacy Policy

This explains what Printable Pilot does with your personal data. This policy covers the Printable Pilot app, the weekly email, and the early access list that ran before launch (now closed).
1. Who's responsible for your data
Printable Pilot is run by Caroline Morrison, a sole trader trading as "Printable Pilot" in the United Kingdom. That makes me the data controller for the information described here.
Contact: support@printablepilot.com. Based in Glasgow, United Kingdom. A postal address is available on request.
2. What I collect
If you joined the early access list before launch: your email address and, if you choose to tell me, what kind of digital products you sell.
When you sign up for the weekly email (on the free score or Trends pages): your email address.
If you email support, I keep that conversation so I can help you.
When you use the app: your account email, what you type into the tools, and the results, which are saved to your History until you delete them.
For Niche Research and Product Ideas, the app looks up the keyword you enter through Etsy's API and keeps only summary figures (such as how many listings match and their price range) for under 6 hours. It doesn't store Etsy listings, and it never accesses anyone's Etsy account or personal data.
When you use the free listing score, the app stores a salted hash of your IP address (a scrambled version that can't be turned back into the address) for 7 days to enforce the one-a-day limit. The listing text you paste is sent to Anthropic to generate the score and isn't stored. The page uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check you're not a bot.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics doesn't set cookies or follow you across other sites. It only records things like which page was viewed, the site you came from, and your browser and country.
- Google Analytics sets cookies (named
_gaand_ga_…, lasting up to 2 years), so it only runs if you click "Accept" on the cookie banner. If you click "Reject", it never loads. It records the pages you view, your device and browser, your approximate location, and a random ID kept in the cookie. It's set up for statistics only, with no advertising features.
You can change your choice at any time: open cookie settings. Choosing "Reject" removes the Google Analytics cookies from this site. Your browser also stores your cookie choice, your sign-in for the app, and similar settings, which are needed for the site to work.
3. Why, and the legal basis
If you joined the early access list, I use your email address to tell you about the launch and the early access discount. The legal basis is your consent, which you gave by joining the list. What you sell helps me decide which tools to build first.
If you sign up for the weekly email, I use your email address to send it to you. The legal basis is your consent, which you give by signing up.
Google Analytics only runs with your consent, given on the cookie banner. Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies, runs on my legitimate interest in knowing which pages are useful.
I won't sell your data or share it for anyone else's marketing.
4. Where it's stored and who processes it
Your account, History and usage counts are stored by Supabase in London. What you type into a tool is sent to Anthropic, which runs the Claude AI that writes your results; Anthropic doesn't use it to train its models. Payments are handled by Stripe, so your card details never reach Printable Pilot. Early access sign-ups from before launch are stored by Netlify, which hosts this website. Weekly email sign-ups are stored and sent by MailerLite. If you start a free trial, your account email is also passed to MailerLite so it can send you one reminder the day before your trial ends; it's removed from that list if you cancel or once the trial is over. Visit statistics are processed by Cloudflare and, if you accept cookies, Google. Support emails pass through Cloudflare's email routing and are stored in Google's Gmail.
Some of these providers may process data in the United States, under safeguards approved for UK data transfers (the UK International Data Transfer Addendum and the UK-US data bridge where it applies).
5. How long I keep it
Early access list: until the app launches and for 12 months after, or until you ask me to remove you, whichever comes first.
Weekly email: until you unsubscribe or ask me to remove you.
Google Analytics data: 14 months, then Google deletes it.
6. Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or withdraw consent, at any time by emailing support@printablepilot.com. Every email I send will also have a way to unsubscribe.
If you're unhappy with how I've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
